The Sch­rodinger Equa­tion is the wave equa­tion for mat­ter and forms the found­a­tions for all of quantum the­ory. Derived by Erwin Sch­rodinger while up in the moun­tains in Ger­many over the course of a winter; it’s one of the most import­ant equa­tions ever derived. All quantum sys­tems are described by this equa­tion and its solu­tions are called ‘Wave­func­tions’. In this series of video tutori­als I seek to intro­duce some gen­er­al top­ics in quantum mech­an­ics and also give some detail regard­ing the deriv­a­tion of and solu­tions to the Sch­rodinger Equation.
